Available for sale is a 1942 Ohio State Buckeyes Football "WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS" 10K GOLD Authentic Player Issued Championship Award!! These were given out in the early 1900's in the place of a Championship Ring. The first Ohio State Championship Rings weren't awarded until the 1950's. In 1942 the "WESTERN CONFERENCE" was also known as the BIG TEN CONFERENCE. Award is made of quality materials using durable 10K GOLD!

This rare, 10K award was presented to a Buckeye Player and has his name engraved on the back of the charm, for being a member of Ohio State's 1942 Western Conference Championship team which included Buckeyes great Les Horvath among others. Under second year head coach Paul Brown, the Buckeyes compiled a perfect 9-1 record on their way to National Championship. Ohio State led the Western Conference. Only 43 players were on the 1942 Ohio State Football team. Condition is near Mint.
