A week after the Cotton Bowl win against Michigan State, Alabama took on Heisman Trophy finalist QB Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers in Glendale,AZ for the College Football Playoff National Championship. Alabama defeated Clemson with a score of 45-40. This was Alabama's 16th National Championship win.
